PLACIX Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
Welcome to PLACIX. This Privacy Policy explains how Anmore Inc. ("Anmore," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the PLACIX mobile game.

Anmore Inc. is a company registered in British Columbia, Canada. By installing PLACIX, you consent to the data collection described in this Privacy Policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time through in-app Settings or by uninstalling PLACIX.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Player name (an optional display name shown on leaderboards and profiles)

  • Custom text fields (cosmetic features such as Custom Crown Title and signature text)

  • Email address and basic Google account information (name and email), if you choose to sign in or link your account with Google or email. Sign-in is required before making a purchase, so that purchases can be restored to your account.

  • Notification preferences (which notification types you turn on or off in Settings)

  • Support inquiry information you send to support@anmoreinc.com
     

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Account identifier via Firebase Authentication (an anonymous identifier, or your signed-in account if you choose to sign in)

  • Gameplay data (scores, combos, missions, progression, crowns and Crowned History)

  • Device information (model, operating system version, language, timezone, screen size)

  • Approximate location — With your permission, we use your device's approximate location (not your precise location) to determine the city you are playing in. We convert it to a city name and store only the city name, never your coordinates. We check location only while you are using PLACIX, never in the background. Locations from apps that fake or simulate a device's location are not accepted. If you do not grant location permission, we estimate your city from your device's IP address (via ip-api.com). You can turn location access off at any time in your device settings.

  • Advertising identifier (Apple IDFA or Google Advertising ID), used only with your consent

  • Purchase and subscription status

  • Crash and diagnostic data via Firebase Crashlytics, including technical details used to diagnose purchase and subscription issues (such as your account identifier, the product purchased and its subscription status)

  • Analytics events via Firebase Analytics, including which notification types you have turned on or off
     

2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Purchase and subscription verification from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store

  • Basic account information from Google, if you choose to sign in with Google
     

3. How We Use Information
PLACIX uses collected information to:

  • Provide gameplay, leaderboards, cosmetics, and sharing features

  • Place you on the correct city, state and country leaderboards and award city crowns

  • Verify in-app purchases and subscriptions, and restore them to your account

  • Detect and prevent cheating, location spoofing, fraud, and abuse

  • Analyze usage patterns and improve the Game

  • Send push notifications you have allowed, such as Daily Challenge reminders, streak reminders and crown alerts (for example, when another player takes your city crown). Marketing and promotional notifications are off by default and are sent only if you turn them on. You can turn each type on or off in Settings.

  • Respond to support inquiries

  • Comply with legal obligations
     

Information visible to other players. Your display name, city, scores, peak combo, rank, badges, crowns, crown titles and Crowned History (the cities and dates you held a crown) are visible to other players. If you take another player's crown, that player may receive a notification showing your display name and score.

4. Third-Party Services
PLACIX uses the following third-party services:

  • Firebase Authentication — Google LLC — Account management (anonymous accounts, Google sign-in and email sign-in)

  • Cloud Firestore — Google LLC — Storage of player data and scores

  • Cloud Functions — Google LLC — Score validation and anti-cheat

  • Firebase Cloud Messaging — Google LLC — Push notifications

  • Firebase Analytics — Google LLC — Usage analytics

  • Firebase Crashlytics — Google LLC — Crash and diagnostic reporting

  • Firebase Remote Config — Google LLC — Feature flags and A/B testing

  • Google Play Install Referrer — Google LLC — Opening "Beat My Run" challenge links, including after installing PLACIX from a link

  • Device location services and geocoding — Google LLC (Android) / Apple Inc. (iOS) — Approximate location and converting it to a city name

  • Google AdMob — Google LLC — Rewarded advertisements

  • ip-api.com — ip-api.com — IP-based city detection when location access is off

  • Apple App Store — Apple Inc. — iOS distribution and purchases

  • Google Play Store — Google LLC — Android distribution and purchases
     

Third-party privacy policies:

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your PLACIX account exists. For location, we keep only your current city name and the city attached to each score; we do not keep your coordinates or a history of your movements.

If you delete your account through Settings, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days, except where we are legally required to keep it. Anonymous, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your Rights

6.1 GDPR Rights (European Economic Area, UK, Switzerland)
You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you

  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete information

  • Erase your personal data (the "right to be forgotten") through in-app account deletion or by contacting support@anmoreinc.com

  • Restrict or object to processing

  • Receive your data in a machine-readable format (data portability)

  • Withdraw consent through Settings or by contacting us

  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

When you first launch PLACIX, we ask for your consent to data processing. If you decline, PLACIX works in offline-only mode.

6.2 CCPA Rights (California Residents)

  • Right to know what personal information we collect about you

  • Right to delete your personal information

  • Right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)

  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights


6.3 Canadian Privacy Rights (PIPEDA)
Canadian users have rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, including the right to access and correct their personal information.

Location. You can withdraw location permission at any time in your device settings. PLACIX will then estimate your city from your IP address instead.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@anmoreinc.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy
PLACIX is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact support@anmoreinc.com.

8. International Data Transfers
Anmore Inc. is based in British Columbia, Canada. The personal data we collect about you — including your player profile, scores, gameplay history, equipped cosmetics, and preferences — is stored in Google Cloud Firestore in the northamerica-northeast1 (Montréal, Canada) region.
Some server-side processing — specifically score validation and other operations performed through Cloud Functions — runs in the us-central1 (Iowa, United States) region. During this processing, data is read from the Canadian region, processed, and the result returned. Data is not stored persistently in the United States.

For users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) provided by Google as the legal basis for these international data transfers.

9. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for communication between the app and our servers

  • Encryption at rest for cloud storage

  • Access controls limiting internal access to data

  • Server-side score validation and rejection of simulated or spoofed locations to detect fraud
     

However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Advertising and Tracking
PLACIX includes optional rewarded video advertisements through Google AdMob. Personalized ads are shown only with your consent. You can opt out of personalized ads at any time:

  • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → turn off Personalized Ads

  • Android: Settings → Google → Ads → turn on "Opt out of Ads Personalization" (or delete your advertising ID)


Purchasing "Remove Ads" or subscribing to City Pass removes all advertisements.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through an in-app notification or other reasonable means before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of PLACIX after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
